Australian with a potential allergy to HFCS

Hi guys,

I found the website after trying to work out why suddenly my asthma symptoms came back after 3 years without even needing medication. I looked into foods that I had eaten around the time I had the asthma attack and realised that I ate a whole lot of Hershey's chocolate syrup. I know that it's full of HFCS so I searched the web for "high fructose corn syrup asthma" ... wow, I've always known that this stuff is pretty gnarly but I had no idea that it would have such a direct effect on asthma sufferers.

I've never really been exposed to HFCS because in Australia it's not allowed (we use sucrose instead - not much better really). So I guess it's not surprising I had such a strong and obvious reaction to it.

I look forward to reading deeper into the site and learning about your experiences.

I am Australian also and linked my problems to HFCS AND the MSG that is in everything also. Have you looked into MSG and all it's other names over here also?
