New to eliminating HFCS

Hello to all

My name is Brandy and i have been working on cutting HFCS out of my diet for about a month now. I went to the doctor on June 2 (my one year anniversary) and my cholesterol was 225 and i had gained 20 pounds just in 6 months. My best friend started giving me some tips on how to lower my cholesterol and weight and the first thing she said was "get rid if HFCS." I was so amazed that this stuff was in everything! I am by no means a perfect dieter, but by almost completely eliminating HFCS, hydrogenated oils, fast food, soda, beef and pork i have lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks and it sounds cliche' but i feel so much better. i have so much more energy than i had before and i don't miss bad foods at all. This site is a great support system and the food list helps so much!

Thank you for sharing and congrats are your wonderful results.

We've also began transitioning to more organics and unprocessed foods. But sometimes it's just tough to do everything from scratch, which is why I'm maintaining a list of HFCS free foods.

Please let us know how you are doing. You are certainly off to a great start!
