Living Green is difficult at first, but over time you adapt and will find it more enjoyable and actually not much more work. Four season gardening is a term you will find caste about that is as wise as wise can be, but is a tough subject when practiced.

Gardening is often seen as a single season, when you consider four season gardening you have to consider plaiting at least every two weeks and what the next few months will bring. Rain means water sure, but it also means low ground can be wet, what grows there. Spring is when most people thing of planting, but planting in July means fall crops and some crops are planted in the fall and with a hoop house or green house the seasons are all year round.

We have a new WEB site where we share real life experiences as we work our garden, hoop houses and green house through the seasons. Growing chemical free is all the more challenging and when you add using only heirloom plants it can be interesting. But if you want chemical free and robust flavors that the garden will be your new hobby. Drying, canning and freezing foods will be right in there along with great tasting food.

We will be the first to say weeding is not exciting, but it does not have to be overbearing. I would much rather tend the garden than stand in line at the grocery store.
